Royal Air Force Air Cadets
The RAF Air Cadets, better known as the 'Air Cadets', are a UK-wide cadet force with more than 40,000 members aged between 12 and 20 years.

We're sponsored by the Royal Air Force and can give you hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your skills whilst allowing you to have an amazing time.

The aims of the Air Cadet Organisation are to:

-
Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people
-
Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life
-
Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship

And not forgetting to have fun at the same time!

As a Cadet you'll have the opportunity to go places and take part in activities you've never heard of before. Learn to fly aircraft before learning to drive a car? Check. Spend weekends in the walking and camping in the countryside relaying on your own skills? Just a normal weekend. Go on annual camps to military bases, including overseas? Absolutely normal. Competitions in shooting, drill, music, sports? The list goes on!

The list of activities available to Cadets is long, varied and open to all! It's sometimes challenging and difficult but that's what makes it fun and memorable!
